    Hi.
I just started playing Zombie Pandemic.i have learned a little about it by reading and i also saw the vast weapons list and tried to learn more about the ones i wanted.apparently i can get a Katana and a Compound bow in the first map.the problem is the price for them is to high for me right now so i was wondering if there is a way to get them without having to buy them like searching certain locations.is it possible or do i have to buy them?

i would also be interested in learning about other locations where i would be able to search and find other useful weapons or other useful items like protections or other things i may not know about.

i have just started playing the game so there is alot about it i dont know yet.but so far i think this game is interesting.

You would have to buy them for now.

You don't nessecarily have to buy them, but the chances of you scavenging one are more or less astronomically low. It's POSSIBLE (assuming that it has been coded!) to loot one, but yeah.

Best bet is to buy one

So would that be 27,08 on the map? If so I can back track and get pretty close to it.

Scavenging seems to be very profitable.for example i found this on one of the scavenges i did :
    M16
Close Combat: Yes Sell Value: $8500 Damage: 9 - 13
    Range: 120 Weight: 1 Ammo usage: 3
Magazine size: 30 Ammo type: 5.56 Shop price: $10500
Required Level: 1 Burst Accuracy Penalty: -30%
but some things dont seem profitable to scavenge.so i have been scavenging only police cars,APC,swat cars, military cars, humvee and ambulances.are there are things worth scavenging?

Good advice. I'll have to be more selective in my searching. But I'm a little underleveled for the kick ass sword so I got time to save up.

I only loot police and military vehicles too. The best thing I got was a H&K MP5K and then a few 9mm Pistols... I always get the ammo which I don't need though... sad.

You can always sell the spare ammo and buy what ya need. Thats what I been doing. Started stockpiling shotgun shells. Granted I need to spend a couple of days at the firing range before I start using it.

I have a question, about close combat.when i go into the character details menu and place the mouse cursor on Agility, this message comes up..

this makes me think that Agility, is what affects the chances of me getting hit by a close range attack or avoiding it.however in the wiki it says...
"The combat outcome is calculated by comparing the attackers attack skill with the defenders defend skill. For ranged combat you use the “marksmanship” vs. “agility”. For close combat you use the “close combat” skill vs. “strength”".

that makes me think that, its strength not Agility, that affects the probability of avoiding a close range attack.

    which one is it?

That is good news for me, because i have been raising Agility, thinking it would help me avoid attacks in close range.but then, what is strength for right now?

Will strength affect the probability of avoiding a close range attack in the future? or will it just be agility for both like it used to be?

So we are still not very sure about usefulness of strength at the moment? Can't any high level player make some tests and post the result ^_^ ?

i have both strenght and agility at 119 so can't help you :|
agility worked for me, talked about it and Helo posted that it should be strenght, and that he will test it and fix it
dunno if he did it in the end, since i upped strenght since then, but he promised a respecing of points for players who upped agility

Being able to replace the points, for those who raised agility like me, would be nice in case it changed or changes to strength.

But wont that be bad for you?.in case its agility, you will be wasting a lot of points unless you want encumbrance.

Anyway raising agility wont be a bad option since i think there will be more ranged opponents in the future.

My range attacks kill all enemies from afar most of the times and I feel my armor, HP and close combat skills are ok enough to finish them off when they get to 0 distance. But I guess I will pump up strength when I level up and have agility training.
