Here? I hope some people have roleplaying experience. Could help you pass the time as we wait for our SP to jack up. Anyway, first off, I'm going to need a dicebot so I can eventually work out a system. Does anyone know a public usable one where we can all reference to later? This is more for game balance than anything else. Second, I'm going to need to design a dossier. Now for some hint references; I'm going to combine and use elements of Left4Dead, DeadFrontier and maybe even ZP. Yes there will be different types of undead but they're only half of what you need to deal with. If anyone saw George Romero's films you will know what I'm talking about. Well catch ya later, I've got other RPs and ganes to tend to you see. |

Okay it seems I'm out of luck finding a good dicebot. Most of them are designed for online RPs in chatrooms which I don't think will be very convenient given we may have different time frames. I'll still keep searching though but please if you're really interested, I would appreciate an extra hand. |

I would definetely be interested in this, I used to play my share of d-20 based rpg. I've played with the idea of different RL style hero classes, that could be converted into standard d&d type character format. For example there could be strait healer classes like surgeon or general practice doctors which would have usable healing abilities, but would have low starting stats in marksmanship or melee. Or fighter classes like cop or soldier with specific skills(cops could have deductive reasoning which would work like search, soldiers would start of with + what ever to stamina and constitution). We could have characters that split the difference, like combat medic(fighter>healer) and combat surgeon(healer>fighter). The possibilities are endless. I'd love to get into a realistic roleplay with zombie scenarios. |

Oh god, it's been so long since I was involved in a D20 campaign! Please let me join if this ever amounts to anything! Many rulebooks are available in PDF format (not necessarily zombie-related, but most likely adaptable), we could adopt a combat system from an existing RP and use that. Um... on a sidenote: does anyone else think it's a bit confusing how the various settings are sprinkled all over this place? Took me like ten minutes to find where I can change my avatar and sig... EDIT: Just looked at the post dates of your messages. Somehow doubt you guys will be back. IF ANYONE ELSE IS READING THIS AND INTERESTED, PM ME OR SOMETHING. |

I was wondering if someone is still working something out on this or if it is already out? Man, it would be awesome to do some RPing while waiting for my SP to refill :p We could use d20 Modern's set of rules for combat and such or set up our own system (I once created a combat system using just a d20 for an RP; the simpler, the better I always thought). I think I might know where the PDFs can be downloaded online. Also, I have an abandoned forum that has a dice system that can be used if we need one. |

Hi Guys, i found a dice bot at http://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm which may work, you don't have to register anything. Also, RP sounds WONDERFUL!! Sorry for the yelling. Anyway, I would like to propose that we start right now, in this thread, give a name, character name or forum, or whatever, and proceed with posts. It can be from our beginning and how we got caught up in all of it, or can start from now, after perhaps almost a year of quarantine and surviving on the streets. I think each of us should be able to use whatever time frame we want and not have us have to share one time line. Anyway, a page, or half, or several or whatever everyone feels comfortable with. Anyway... am in the middle of trying to get the house cleaned, but thought i would post, and try to post an entry tonight. Good to meet everyone! Oh, i've only been in the game 3 or 4 days, so there are tons i don't know, but thought i could learn as we go along. Take care, -Teal |

Nov 18th - 2014 Dear Diary- Just got out of the infirmary and saw Jimmy, he looked shook up. I was going to ask about Alice, but he blurted it out first. I didn't know and after he told me I didn't know what to say. So I just sort of stood there all stupid and quiet, finally I kissed him on the cheek and told him I would be around if he needed to talk. I know I must seem an old maid to him, but thirty still seems young, haha, it didn't when i was 15 but it sure does now. Anyway, i was sorry to hear about Alice not getting back from the scavenging run, I know the feeling, pressure has been so high with supplies running low that we are all taking risks we know we shouldn't take. She knew that, I knew that too, but it didn't help that I haven't had any major problems the last six months. I got cocky and sure of myself, stupid of me, it got Alice killed, and almost got me and we both knew better. I mean its not like we don't know how seriously bad it is out there every single day. ...I got caught coming back from Harrelson's clothiers, where there were 7 scared stragglers holed up for the last week. They had run out of supplies three days earlier and were on their last legs... if they'd had to wait another couple of days I don't think they would have made it. Anyway, I just happened to go by there coming back from a scavenging run over by the park when i got jumped by the Zed. Had used up my ammo two blocks back trying to outrun a smallish horde of about 25 of them, when i ran face first into three of them. If those people hadn't been there to help when i got mauled, i wouldn't have made it. If i hadn't come along and we all left together then they would have been over run by the horde. So it was almost like we were there for each other, so to speak. As it was, it turned out nice... we all got back alive. At least for now. That is a nice thing to know, when you lay down at night and close your eyes... Thinking about people still having a heart and taking care of each other. My left arm is busted up bad and I'm scarred all down my left side. I hurt like hell, but i'm not dead, and the doc said there wasn't any infection thank God, I was worried about that a lot. It's funny, how thinking about staying alive for just even one more day is relieving. I hope Jimmy is ok and he doesn't go off the deep end, seen too much of that this last year. Someone loses their sweetheart and winds up getting real sloppy, like they are looking to get hit, and that kind of behavior usually gets them that pretty quick. Anyway, i just hope he can get through this. Lord knows i hope all of us can get through this. Even though it's starting to feel like it's going to be this way the rest of our lives. I left him standing there and came up to my room and tried to get cleaned up, that was a sorry sight, should have seen me standing in the bathtub trying to wash up my busted arm without falling over and breaking my neck, haha. Anyway, I came down here to the bar just to get a drink and loosen my nerves a bit. I'm sitting here listening to Drake on the juke box and sipping my beer. It almost feels like the old days... Almost... But i look around the room, and even those of us that are doing ok, we all have haunted looks on our faces. I guess its not like the old days at all. // (hope this isn't too long. If anyone wants to meet me in the bar, that's cool, or whatever... oh, haha, my character has the same name as me, Teal, so that should make it easier. ) |

Thanks Berserker, I guess i will try to continue it then and see if anyone else wants to jump in. Now i don't know who wants to decide the rules and what is cool and what isn't, but i thought playing the RP like it was the game might be a good start. That way the RP doesn't sound too much like L4D or DF or one of the other zombie games, I mean nothing is wrong with them, i just like the feel and pace of ZP, and i think it would help keep things consistent if i play it like that. If that doesn't sound like what everyone else wants, then let me know, i mean i'm not trying to make rules, just trying to figure out a good place to start and basics, that sort of stuff, Anyway, am getting another post ready and will post it when i can, take care, -Teal |

Okay, here I go... "Yeap, it's best to find myself some healing supplies." I monologued while gasping for air. Armed with a guitar, I limped across the lonely street while hoping that there was NO more incoming hordes. The wounds were like a hell to me as they're not dried yet. The worst part was my abdomen, after almost being torn apart by an evil hunter earlier. Honestly, I didn't like the apocalypse filled with death aroma after knowing the virus had spread into my town through the notices along the street. My trusted friends and family members had turned against me and intended to fight among themselves to feast on their victim - me, Seth. Feeling panicked about this, I knew I had to struggle hard in order to survive on my own. Thinking back the day I first saw these creatures, I facepalmed myself while resting myself against the wall. Yea, it was my birthday that day and a surprise party was held at my house. Closest relatives and buddies were invited to spice up the fun. After blowing off the seventeenth candle, I was asked by my mum to take a bath as I had the habit of night shower. Later, in my casual wear, I went out to greet everyone, but just to find that they were acting weirdly. Their glowing red eyes were fixed to my direction while groaning bitterly. I gasped at my cousin, Alex who was nearest to me, was trying to bite my arm. I punched him in the face and stumbled him backwards, causing the crowd to go berserk and rushed for me. I managed to flee myself from them and away from my dangerous neighbourhood after noticing my trusted neighbours had turned too. Right now, my signature cricket bat was broken after decapitated hundreds of zombies I had encountered. I groaned for it and tossed it into the garbage bin. Finding myself outside a shop, I went into it to find some useful supplies like a guitar! However, I had startled an infected resident who believed to be the shop owner. It pounced on me and started shredding my clothes until it reached my belly. Blood was splattered everywhere, followed by my scream of pain. I kicked its body violently and bashed its head with the guitar. However, fear surrounded me again when its final scream had summoned a horde to feast on me. I quickly fought my way through the large number of zombies and hid myself within the dumpster. After the horde diminished, I took the shortcut to hide away from them. Then, the show started where the condition I'm in... NOW. Shaking my head and looked upwards, I saw a neon bar sign hanging from the wall. I made a quick chuckle and thought, "Hmph~ It's a good place to end myself with boozes. Dazing off with my dream and never wake up again to face this... mindless world." I got up and limped inside the bar. It was quite abandoned I guess? Wait, no, there was someone in there. Could it be an infected? Or... Before I could recognize the figurine, my vision had become blurry and I collapsed to the ground. The melodious tune was still playing in my mind as it wasn't dead yet. |

((Deja vu. Could of sworn I've already posted this. Perhaps the forum reset due to updates or what not...)) There wasn’t much to look at for the lone figure as he pressed his body against the wall. Looking out to the cityscape of abandoned vehicles and boarded up building, a quiet sigh escaped from behind the scarf that covered the figure’s face. It was day forty since his arrival to this new world. This Hellish landscape. Much has changed since his run in with the Zombie Squad. He was more prepared. Better armed and organized. He knew the rules of this world. He knew where to go and what to do. Much has changed for the man with no memory. Readjusting his grip on his P99 Special pistol, the man mentally braced himself for worst case scenario as he edged his way out of his cover. At either end of the street, there was no movement other than what the wind picked up. Cars scattered the street and sidewalk, all with some form of damage to show the chaotic nature this world has taken since the rise of the Undead. Shifting his shoulder some, he felt his Mollie pack moved a bit as he walked briskly across, his sheathed katana blade tapping against the side of his leg. When he first awoke from the hospital, he had nothing but what he could scavenge, which was a stub nose pistol, a large bayonet, and a small backpack to carry his goods. Now, dressed in military fatigues, wearing a tactical vest filled with ammo and Kevlar layers and a scarf to offer some protection from the horrid stench the undead brought, the lonely figure was another one of the many survivors that lived day in and day out in the nightmare. It was then the all too familiar moans of the dead filled the man’s hearing. Quickly glancing to his left, he saw the first sign of movement as a shadowy figure seemed to slowly emerge into view. Damn… He cursed to himself as he darted into an empty alleyway. Though his pistol could make short work of the undead, the level of moaning that echoed hinted that there was more than one. Running deeper into the dark alley, the lone figure saw a window that wasn’t boarded up like everything else was. Taking this as a sign, the man removed his large Mollie pack and tossed it into the portal before diving in after it. With a quick scan and letting his eyes adjust to the dark, it was clear he was now inside a storage room of sort. Behind a door, noises that sound human could be caught. Though the world was full of chaos with the walking dead, the living has become just as dangerous as they were before. So far, the man hasn’t run into any horror stories of raiders and cannibals, but he has heard the stories. Enough of the stories that he didn’t want to take any chances. Slowly opening the door and peeking through, the man caught sight of a group of battered survivors. Though they looked a little harden, they didn’t give him the sense of danger. Slowly opening the door further while keeping a tight grip around the handle of his pistol, the man announced his presence. “Hello? I come in peace. Name is Maku. I’m a Zombie Squad member and just need a place to rest.” Raising his hands up a bit, Maku revealed his gloved hands as well as the pistol he was carrying. “I mean no harm.”
