Caelyn's Diary #4:

The orders were clear - go to the Pixel Pandemic HQ, a place long overrun by zeds and clear the place.
I was dead tired and had been practicing at the college campus, but hey it's not every day in this post-appocalyptic world that you get a mission, right?
Right.
So, there I went. The approach was a mostly quiet one. I hat to shoot 2 or 3 zeds before reaching the HQ. And, as expected, there were no barricades standing and a huge amount of zombies was defending the place. I took out my rifle and selected the best possible spot.
My M95 echoes through the late afternoon.
"Sgt. Caelyn reporting in. The entrance to the mission building has been cleared. I repeat, the entrance has been cleared. 45 zombies downed - I'm going in."
I approached the building carefully, looking for any sign of movement.
With my rifle on my shoulder, I took out my newest aqcuisition - a Glock 18c.
As I stepped in I realized the obvious - the place was crawling with dozens of zombies.
"Zeds! Zeds everywhere!"
The sound of burts being fired. I put down 4 more - but one reaches me. We struggle for a time but it is too fast for me to shoot - some idiot in football gear. I wish I still had my axe. I decide to leave - I'm already too tired and I won't be able to use my rifle in such close quarters.
I kick the jock right in the chest, giving me time enough for me to make a run for it.
"Many more inside - feel free to cleanse the place. I need some R&R - as in Rest and more Rest. Cealyn out."
I returned to the Campus - nothing worthy of notice on the way back, except some survivor that passed by singing "I Got You (I Feel Good)", by Mr.James Brown.

I'm ready to storm Pixel Pandemic, but I need some back-up. It looks like whole morgue decided to make a party there and I'm not the best in close combat. I'll kil as many as I can, but I don't think I'll be able to fully clean the place out.

Kyle San Diego's Log # 2 (09042010)

Practice Makes Perfect

Click! Click! was the not the sound I was expecting to hear from my shotgun. I should have fled but chose to fight the gangster for I've seen many survivors fallen from their twisted games and I want to end it now. They are more rotten than those walking dead for they contribute more decay to our society. [Reload] and then BLACK...

Good thing, a citizen helped me up and it was ironic because we NYPD are the ones who should help but I guess with this kind of set-up everyone should help everyone.

I walked slowly and discovered a place where I can rest for the meantime, it was a store for kids' items and I was surprised to see 300 people taking refuge in that store and many of them chose to stay till they get rescued. Maybe the store made them feel like a kid again waiting to be rescued by their parents but I'm not one of them...I would just stay here and rest.

Alas! I was strong enough to go to the nearest military outpost and the first thing I did was to go and improve my marksmanship. I will be practicing my ass off because when I see that gangster again I will rip his f-in skull. Click! Click! there goes the rifle again but as the saying goes "Practice Makes Perfect"

yesterday i gave out orders to clear a building been there myself bairly made it out alive. i cleared the front entrance to the building today. even went inside killed a few had to back away there was alot. looks like it will get cleared slowly but surely.

sitting in the HQ office a little tired was out scavaging for a while found a few edibles didnt last long. found a beer ill keep that for a special day. hmmm special what can get special in this hell hole. looking at a few maps of the area my SGT informed me of another car park that may be suitable as a safe haven ill need to look that out. also looking at a note i found the other day it was about the one that started the infection the note said it was a flu virus that mutated. made me wonder could there be a cure for this muatated flu virus...

Same here - When I arrived, everything outside was dead. Inside there were some problems - I managed to kill two groups of deadies, but then, while dealing with third group, I had to run for my life. It wasn't pretty.
The problem is - every single hour more walking dead arrive into the location, so to secure the place we should coordinate our attacks. 4-5 people may be able to kill everything inside and barricade the building.

ah yes a strategy if we all go in at one we may be able to clear most of it.

if each of us can take down two groups and there is a few of us surely it could be accomplished.

could even try to barricade the doors a few times it may help with more zombies entering at the same time.

Saw a few zombies outside of Pixel Pandemic and cleared them..and there's a lot to deal inside.
I think the devs will keep us from clearing it so we cant make it our future HQ so they keep respawning the baddies..TEEHEE ^^

I just passed by Munches Jewelry Store and there are like 339 people there, and barricade HP is below 20 and damn a lot of zombies are clawing outside

Kyle San Diego's Log # 3 (09052010)

There's No Place Like Home

It was sad but I have to leave all my friends in the Winchester Pub, too bad I have to enjoy the pub when the world outside is in total chaos. I promised myself that when this is over I'll be enjoying life a little more but still be dedicated as a member of the NYPD. I bid goodbye to all my new friends and I know they'll be safe because Rose is such a trooper.

The city looked different in broad daylight since it's been raining and gloomy for the past few weeks. I think there will be good news waiting for me and my team and then I've received a message that they've secured place in City Car Park which located at the heart of the city...very strategic indeed. I went inside and saw my fellow officer Zero Cold resting after a tiring day of helping the citizens of New York. I went down to another floor and saw our Captain slightly wounded from the Pixel Pandemic endeavor so I grabbed by first aid kid cleaned his wounds.

The City Car Park may not be the Waldorf Astoria but I call it home for the meantime...oh there's a news paper and the headline says "The Dead Lives"...Oh what's new...oh wait there's Sudoku! Time to finish this with a can of not so cold beer.

pixel pandemic could possibly be a problem kill a zombie two more appear if anyone dies its on my hands too many people have died in this world already may need to exercise extreme caution see how things go for the next few days.

spent a couple of hours in the office in the HQ then i went a wander to see what i could find found a beer so ill keep that for later. ran into a pilot i had short hopes he had some sort of transport out of here turns out hes just one of the the walking corpses. well time to move on i thought after a little while walking i ran into a huge horde wasnt staying only got a desert eagle does me well but not against a walking dead army. after running for a while was feeling tired and went back to the HQ. im going for a short nap on floor 2.

Still surviving, Kyle - thanks for asking, though.

At the moment I'm exploring last sectors in the southern part of the city. Tomorrow I'll move on to the north. Of course, if I'm required somewher to do some good old fashioned zombie clean-up, I'm fully at disposal.

So if there are any orders for me, Captain kable, just call me and I'll deal with the situation.

Guess which sergeant of which police department actually bought herself a nice little PKM as a trusty sidearm and killed her first decent sized horde?
Tomorrow I'm searching for a massive horde (and if posting the pic here if i get it).

@Capt Kable - Will check the HQ once I regain strength I'll add baricades just in case some baddies are clawing it again
Before I report to stadium I'll definitely check Pixel Pandemic area.

@Miles - Nice to hear that you're doin great , I'm map monkey-ing right now and my explored area shaped like US plus MEXICO.

@Caelyn - Woohoo! Let's celebrate your new acquistion looking forward for that screenshot

I saw 3 survivors camping in our Car ParkHQ APNEA, Lone Survivor and Ganimedes, I healed em a bit and I think they are good as new again. APNEA is a lone rider but she would like to have an alliance with us.

I'm just training here at College Campus...I'd want to go specialize both LONG RANGE and ZANBATO sword swinging

Thanks Kyle!
Yeah, I also passed by the HQ and healed a player there. It could be our standard policy to (within reason) heal every injured player that is using our HQ as a sanctuary.
C.

EDIT: Still looking for the big one (found a huge and quickly killed it with my PKM), but while that doesn't happen, I tried to kill a small horde with my rifle. It works alright

Photobucket

PS: Has noticed how many zeds are simply stopping to give any money as loot? Or is it just for arriving at a certain level?

That was impressive, Caelyn! I can't wait myself, when I lay my hands on one of these powerful HMGs.

Yesterday I managed to wipe out huge horde of zombies with my m-16, but it was sheer luck.

BTW: a buddy of mine - Norx - asked me if he may join the force. I told him to write a message to You, which he'll surely do. The guy has got my recommendation and should be good addition to NYPD.

@Caelyn - Maybe you're killing zombie babies that's why you don't get any money...I encounter a lot of nuns and as predicted they are broke

I tried katana-ing a small horde...EPIC FAIL ahahahahah!

@C_Miles
Sure. Tell him to join and send me a message if he needs any help.
@Kyle
I'm killing small hordes of babies? lol
Look at the 1st pic. I killed a small horde and got 0. Sometimes I'm killing zeds that usually gave me 10-30 and now they give me 0.
Yeah, it has been changed - they are giving less money, I have confirmed it also on other threads. It might be that it's only applying to people a little bit higher lvls (maybe above 20 or something... but that should be confirmed).
EDIT: To do that with a katana, get your agility and close combat really high, so that you hit and almost don't get hit. Also, a nice armor and hp do help.
Either way, you will spend a lot of SP, but it will be fun, I guess

So, if you find that your zombies are giving less cash, start looting more (military vehicles), exploring more, doing the missions, and only killing zombies that appear to give out cash, specially if they are in a group.
Otherwise if you are using bullets that cost 6$ a shot, you will soon run out of cash.

Have fun, all.

Kyle San Diego's Log # 4 (09102010)

Dead Letters

When I want to be happy, a trip to my favorite hotdog stand will do the trick. I would greet Carl and order the usual...no relish please. But that day, the hotdog is a mere shadow of its former self. The people waiting in line for their treat is replaced by maggots crawling out of the boxes. I scavenged for something that might be of use...but I found nothing. I knocked over an empty can of soda, it fell on the sidewalk and made a very loud noise.

When I turned back 3 zombies who were nuns were approaching me...their prayers turned into moans, their hopeful eyes turned into grey...their hunger for faith turned into hunger for human flesh. It was the first time that I had a bad feeling of killing the undead...but I had no choice....

BANG! BANG! BANG! Now the nuns can rest in peace for good.

While on my way back to the HQ, I saw a familiar figure it was Mr. Green our neighborhood's postman...I ran towards him shouting his name...I kept on shouting "Mr. Green! It's Kyle! I'm glad your safe" and when he turned back he let out a nasty growl....he is now part of the undead yet he was still carrying his messenger bag filled with mail. Killing Mr. Green was harder than killing of the nuns...I aimed for his head...I closed my teary eyes and

BANG! The letters from Mr. Green's bag flew like confetti. These letters will now be considered dead...like their messenger.

One specific letter, landed near my shoe and I picked it up. It was addressed to Claire Malcolm...Claire Malcolm...a very familiar name...Claire! She was the 30 year old mom that I met in the College Campus HQ...I've realized that I can revive one dead letter so I ran towards the college campus. I hard a hard time looking for her as I traversed the sea of ailing civilians. After a few minutes, I found Claire helping with the sorting of supplies. I approached her and gave her the letter, she opened the mail and began to cry. In her hands, was a drawn picture of a kid and mom. She said that her 3 year old kid in Florida drew this...and then she cried "I'm coming home baby...mommy's gonna be home" as she held the picture close to her heart.

Caelyn's Diary #5:

...what I have been doing, of what I have become. It's the same, always the same. Approach silently, recognize, take aim, fire, inspect the location, and loot the undead, pretend the smell doesn't get to me, pretend I don't feel anything. When was the last time a tear ran through my face? I seem to have lost that specific ability - how weird.

Lately my radio has been off, I have mostly scouted the southwestern part, and kept some distance from any survivor - those who fire upon me, excepted. Is it the badge? Other than that symbol, I look just like any ragged survivor out there... might be insanity. A proper question is, who cares?
I finally reached the western shore and stayed there for a long time. I even forgot to do my usuall recognition and just camped there for a whole day. I needed that, I needed to see water, to have my back against something that won't attack or crumble on my head.

Near dawn, another survivor approached slowly and also along the margin. He had his arms raised high and approached carefully. At all times i had his chest in full aim of my .50. When he finally came near he said nothing, simply smiled feebly but yet in a friendly manner and sit by my side on a bench.
Both of us stayed there while the night fell and shared some provisions - no word was spoken. What's there to say?: What about this appocalypse?
It's already enough to listen to those boys and girls from the army with their macho talk and fear in their eyes.

We departed, each in a different direction. Will I ever see him again?
Anyway! Back to the Headquarters. I'm going to check on how everyone is doing...

Caelyn. Sgt.
