Hello. I am not found a similar theme. In game can often meet a children and teenage zombie. I think maybe will be good, if a children and teenage can too survive. Of course, children cannot good fight in the close combat or shoot from the ballistic weapon, but they can good run. Children can have less skills and stats than adult characters, but I think this will be good for RP. Sorry, for my poor English. |

I cant see how a children can survive alone but a teenage is possible. Choosing between tennage and adult can give more variables to the game and more realism. For example teenage could train faster (5hs=1stat) and gain less hp per level. But there needs to be a limit in traning before this could implemented or teenage would be just OP. |

We can make teenager to train marksmanship, close combat 5 hours = 1 skill but make them train strength and agility 15 (or 20) hours = 1 skill. Same for smart and technical if required. |

Children have been pressed into fighting wars in third world countries for decades, who says they can't shoot. |

Terru,I don't think American kids are that much dumber than 3rd world kids. Well not all of them. I thik CB nailed it: Children and Teenagers best as NPC's (Well aprt from the apostrophication, but I do enough editting at work without being a grammar and spelling nazi here) Why would you want to play a ten year old? OK, I'll agree tht a Romero-esque Home Alone adaptation might make an interesting movie in a sick sort of way, but why would you want to play that role? Lie down on the couch and tell the good doctor all about your family when you were growing up. What is your earliest memory from childhood? |

Latetefordinner Terru,I don't think American kids are that much dumber than 3rd world kids. Well not all of them. Being able to use a gun doesnt makes you smarter, just in case you dont know. The reason why thirld world country children can manipulate gun and are forced to war is that at birth their parents give them a gun as a present. Its a matter of religion and cultures. Why would you want to play a ten year old? I dont want to play a 10 year old. I am just sharing an idea that can offer varies to the game. Lie down on the couch and tell the good doctor all about your family when you were growing up I dont need you to tell me what to do. What is your earliest memory from childhood? A trip i made with my family when i was 6 years old. |

I really think you need to get out more as I know of no culture that hands out guns at the baby shower. That's like saying all Muslims receive a suicide vest upon puberty. The reason is that they can be subjugated easier than adults, usually between 8 and 14 years of age. |

Dont take it so literal. What i wanted to point out is that they are trained from the early age to participate in wars becouse of their cultures and religions and thats not the case of US. Since no ones trains their kids just in case a pandemic occurs. PS: I went out and asked all the people i saw about culture. PS2: LoL. |

Children cant survive without a support group. At the very least initially. Teenagers are at the top of a very shallow barrel. Read Lord of the Flies. Now multiply that times every high-school in a 5-mile radius. |

Is a great idea and maybe for them another story: "After the outbreak came you where still living with your parents looking for food and shelter and they managed to protect and take care of you for some time. But one day they went outside looking for some supplies and for 2 days they didn't come back. Even as a 13 years old teenage you knew they will not come back anymore. So you took your father's gun he left for you to defend and went outside in the city to look for some food , other survivors and....your parents." Or: "As a kid raised most of the time on the streets of a Afro American's gang you where use to held a gun or a knife with you most of the time and sometime even use it. You already earned your first money by repairing some cars or helping the gang members. Your life until now showed you even more violence than after the outbreak and with the help of the gang you managed to survive. You left school at 11 and now at 14 you don't know much about books but you surely know how to defend your self both with close and long range weapons. One day you made a big mistake and for that the gang almost killed you , but they spared you because you are just a kid . They kicked out from their safe place , gave you a gun and some food , but you are alone and you have to find some shelter quick" I mean....Why not? The idea of the teenage is very interesting. Hope you like it |

Now there are two useful mission premises. not sure how the devs could work those into something, but both are interesting, Wd. I've been kicking something similar to the first around in my head for a while. Mine is based on the (easier from the dev's POV, but not necessarily better from a narrative POV) experience of a lower to mid-range adult character who discovers the family in the middle of no-man's land (upper map2) and has to decide whether or how to rescue them. To be a little more explicit: first he finds two kids, who are wondering where Daddy is. They've already seen mommy die and rise again as one of those, so they know what horror is. Daddy went out looking for food 3 days ago and hasn't been back. Mission one is to find him and get him back to his kids. Mission two is to keep him alive and help him recover from terrible injuries. And while so doing, train kids to use basic small arms to defend themselves. Mission three, to get family to relative safety of map 1, a task made difficult by the fact that Daddy can't walk and has to be carried or littered across hostile terrain. I looked at the girl. The sun had gone down, there was only the glow of the oil stove, but I thought for a moment I saw my own daughter there. She was what, 11, maybe 12? She could barely hold that crossbow in her hands, let alone crank it. But if zeds forced through the barricade and past me, she would have to make that first shot count because she wouldn't get a second chance. I had to give her that second chance. |

The little guy was so cute it hurt. I mean, he was a clever little rascal, and he made me laugh until I cried. I've had enough tears the past few weeks, but until I met these two, I think the only time I smiled was when I caught a group of zeds the wrong side of a fuel truck. There was something wholesome, something healing about just being with the pair of them. It made me want to believe that I could live for something more than just another sundown. We were joking with one another when the older sister interrupted: "We're alright for tonight, and maybe another night as well. Where do we run to next?" I gave that some thought. "There's a church tower not far from here, that can be tomrrow's refuge. That gives us plenty of time to set up and go hunting." "What?", she said. "That's right, go hunting. We have to run and hide, because we aren't very strong and your father is hurt, but you and I can go hunting. It's not enough to wait in the dark and hope they don't find us. We have to get out and hunt them. Get them before they get us. We have to become hunters as well as hunted". There, I said it. I had seen my own fmaily go down to the horror, I had lost friends and companions, and I had not survived to just go down as they had. I owed it to them, to everyone I had known and loved and lost, to be something more than another victim on the run. I was a hunter. And these two kids, I would make them hunters too. |

Johnston was delirious with fever. In retrospect, maybe that is what saved him. I've seen so many give in and turn cold, and they're the ones who always died and turned over. Johnston, he was hot. He positively burned, and if it wasn't a passion for life and family, then i don't know what it was kept him. But it did. He begged me to see the kids safely down south to a safe house. He was wasting his breath, because at that point I had already made up my mind to see it through, but he cried and begged me for my oath. For my sacred oath, before whatever Gods there might be left willing to hear. I gave it, but I pulled his head close to my chest and demanded a similar oath from him. "You dont quit either. You see them through with me, or else. You die on me, I'm going to serve their guts up to the ugliest zombie whore in the city. So you live to see me honest, or else". He howled, he cursed, he moaned, but he kept his eyes open and focussed on me the whole night through. In the morning, he lay slack in his bonds, panting and exhausted. I took the cloth that i had kept in ice-water and laid it across his fore-head. "Give it a rest. You'll be OK, and so wiil they. Get some rest." I smiled. "Johnston", I thought, "you're one of the lucky few" Keeping him alive was more important than the kids. |

Just want to say that this happens to most ppl after years of driving around in a car instead of using a bike, smoking, drinking... Id say put in some Teenager skins! A well trained young man in his mid 20s compared to Lounge Lizard in his 30s.... do i have to say more? |

I know how to shoot! So do many of my friends. It is something you learn growing up... And by that I mean: One day after a zombie movie marathon and about 4 hours of Nazi Zombie destruction you bug your parents, and your friend's parents, to let you go to the shooting range. You go and shoot the shit out of the target and boast to your friends on how they sucked because you hit the middle and they hit the target two lanes over... |
