3 attacks pr turn would be nice for chainsaw, and 3 range would be nice for Swords(maybe 2 for most swords) and long shafted weapons

The length of the weapon is not the same as it's effective range. When you wind up for a slapshot in hockey or choke up your bat in baseball, you shorten your grip. When you grasp a spear, you don't grab the butt end with both hands, you put one near the butt and one near mid-shaft. I suggest that for spears, the pitchfork, the push-broom and other "keep'em-at-a-distance" weapons, a range of 2, with a random (based on cc skill v opponent's agil rating) chance that they will slip under your guard and come inside, or be kept at distance. With slashing weapons, (yes, I'm putting your Zucchini, er, zambato in the same category as my katana and the baseball bat) the range should only be 1 yard. Ever try to swing a real weapon in a street fight? You don't have a lot of time after your first swing to land a back-swing before the other guy is in your face. Of course, there should be a chance (say 1/2 cc skill v opponent's agil) of keeping the other at bay, but not a very generous chance.
Devs, is this a difficult thing to work into the game? The possibility that the enemy stops at a distance of 1 or 2 metres and has to try to come inside, but is also trying to avoid being cut down? Is it unreasonable? It's been weeks since the last time I last scooped out a zombie's brains with a kitchen fork in real life, I can't remember whether it hesitated to come inside or not. (Come to think of it, I can't remember if it was actually a zombie or just another lazy student)

Zanbato*

and it should have 3 range, just as the spear, the spear you "poke" forward, just as with a Zanbato you would slash forward, and when its 3.6 meter long, the "effective" range is no matter really.

OK, the zucchini is a longer weapon, it has a longer range. Because it has alonger range, it takes twice as long to bring it around again for a second strike. Which gives the zeds an extra turn of combat to come up under your swing and go for your throat.

well, we can carry a million bullets, one minigun, one heavy sniper, and the Zanbato, so why cant we swing it as fast as a normal person would with a Katana?

Yeah, right! And I want to be able to hold 2 katanas in both hands, or even 3 (with one held in my mouth like the Roronoa Zoro guy in One Piece manga).

Hell yeah! This could be one cool perk lol.

Oni giri!
We all die as we are born. We always find the end before the beginning. If to live means to continually search for wisdom, we'll find the end waiting after our last lesson. To finally see the subtlety of the end and understand it completely is what it means to die. We cannot help ourselves from growing wiser. Those who are helpless to their search for knowledge are those who cannot transcend death.
