but what is survival without the stakes?
we're playing the game we can't lose
what we can lose:
character
xp
stats
gear
sp
time (like 24hours)
safehouse
in the end, what we lose is playing time to rectify the situation
the game has to be awesome enough to make it bitter-sweet, painful, but still enjoyable
the thrill comes from possibility of loss
first idea:
when you die you immediately lose all sp, no rescue, no broadcast of location
second idea:
while you are at 0 sp, you can be scavenged (it's max 3 minutes, you are listed as dead body in the list of containers, will get your blood pumping i'm sure)
the time for being scavenged can be extended ofc :evilaugh:
like for example regaining first point takes 15 minutes
third idea:
you'd better move your ass before zombies notice you again, also stock up on sp items, will you?
fourth idea:
calling for backup, you can be dragged by another reducing your movement cost to 1, his mc to 3sp, shared fighting etc
fifth idea:
scarring and trauma - you lose stat points, you can regain them through training and treatment at medical facility
i say regain because the devs limited the training, you probably won't have ability to train them higher anymore, so REgain
sixth idea:
you items are damaged when you die, you can fix them ofc
