I don't like the idea of starting with a gun. Everyone should start with "makeshift weapon." You should have to manage untill you find or buy one. this would add realism to the start game. in this kinda situtation its likely you wold not have a firearm. we are playing everyday people so start gun needs removed. whaty

i think i got my first one from an early quest dont remember if i started with it though.

but i do agree it makes more sense to not start with a gun. but it might turn away some players if they get beat too easily and think it is not fun.

The fact that you start with a gun (wich is not strong btw) doesnt means the game is not realistic. I find it good for starters that doesnt know much about the game so its easier for them to kill zombies, i find this very usefull to encourage starters to go farther in the game.

Yeah I started with a gun and for an unknown reason, I thought it had unlimited ammo for a beginner gun so I just spammed all those bullets like crazy without killing that many zeds. After that, I use the iron pipe lol.

I thought everyoe started with a gun like i did, am i mistaken? While it was weak and useful its not needed. you can get one by second quest at the campus and you will find decent stuff before then. the idea is to survive so having to only run at first sounds neat. Not everyone owns guns in America lol, we are not all rednecks as a nation lawl.

And, back when i was low level, i started with the pistol, and back then, there were no scavenging, no easy way to get money, we had to get a gun and buy the bullets to survive!

When I was young, gunpowder hadn't been invented yet and we had to stalk and kill dinosaurs with broken bottles if we were hungry
