Anyone else agree that 2 was the best on the playstation? I know 1 was very good, and its the original, but 2 had so much to it. If you played as Leon forst and then Clair for the second part the story would alter a little. If you played vise versa it would change again. It had tons of secrets and guns that you could find. Mr X was an awsome character. Hunk is the coolist ever. He only shows up again in RE4 from what I know. The creatures where more scary to me in this one also. Like when you fight William Berken at the end. He gets all those teeth in his chest. I dont know.. I have had debates with some friends in the past and most think 1 is the best, or a couple think 3 was. I think 3 was ok, but not nearly as scary as 2. Let me know what RE is your favorite, or if you like RE at all.

well i loved RE2 nothing like running around with an uzi-rocketlauncher (gameshark). besides its the first appereance of hunk. hunk started my weird obsession with gas masks, there nothing likr zombies and gas masks!! my fav is RE4 for the simple reason of playing hunk in the story line!! i used the gameshark. i spent an hour puttin those freakin codes in but man it was well worth it. theres nothing like exploring as hunk shootin every freakin thing!!

Yeah RE is a great series. Still I would rather they stuck to zombies vs. random guys walking around with parasites crawling in and out of their heads. Miss the zombie days. And for the love of all things... how do you possibly kill off Wesker? Insanity.

I know. Wesker is such a little pest. He has like matrix abilities in RE5. @dalamar Yeah, Hunk is the best. I have 2 of the original Hunk action figures. The little 6 inch figures that came out after RE2 got so popular. One of there legs came off but he is just used for the dead background guy. xD I havnt pulled those things out in so long. I used to draw red on cardbourse and cut it out into a blood stain patternt haha. I would get in trouple in school all the time for drawing people shooting zombies and stuff. Does anyone else think Hunk's melee kick in RE4 is the coolist melle attack of all time. It really feels like your kicking those zeds with all your might. And as for gasmask obsessions. We are on the same page man. I plan to buy a russian style eventually. Much like my signiture art you might have seen on the old forums. My rules are it must have seperate eye holes, and have can slots on the front and the sides. I get a lot of my style from Team Fortress 2's Pryo. He so damn cute haha. In a crazy flamethrower dude shorta way. Its just so funny how everything is just mumbles under his mask. And his taunts are the best. PYRO FTW!!! I dont got xbox live right now but I have been known to slay some pugs on that game. I literally only play pyro. Only reason I even have time on the others was so I could get all the acheivments. Ive got over 100 hours clocked on the pyro. The next one under that is Medic with 5 hours HAHA.

I Enjoyed Resident evil 3 a lot more than 2 Jill is my favourite character in the RE series, and i enjoyerd playing as Jill. I don't know about everyone else, but i think that the true Resident evil horror survival spirit is fading away with Re4 and Re5... I mean at first the zombies were like total Slowpokes But they were hard to fight off. Now these Majnini guys just run at you, then stop and walk up to you, just to swing their Pickaxe/machete/wrench at you, not bite out a hunk of meat off your shoulder. They should bring back the Old zombies... maybe make a Remake of Resident evil 2 and 3 for the Xbox 360 and Ps3 Just bring back the old fashion ''slowpoke'' zombies. I first played Re3 when i was like 7, and the zombies scared the CRAP outta me! I sometimes still jump up at parts when like 5 zombies jump outta the window all of a sudden and crawl at you Re 4 and 5 are Action games to me, not horror survival. Although the DLC Lost in Nightmares is pretty great though. That atleast brings back the horror a little more than the full game And Chris and Jill in a team! For all of you i have a last few questions. 1. What is your Fav Re game? 2. What is your Fav Re Protagonist? (A.K.A. Good Guy) 3. What is your Fav Re Antagonist? ( Ofc A.K.A. The Badass) You can ofcourse choose more answers, which is what i'll do too: 1. Definitely Resident evil 3! Nemesis and the Old School zombies! I have this game on my desktop and when im bored i just start it up and mash zombie skulls 2. Jill and Chris! Definitely the coolest Re ''Good guys'' 3. Nemesis and Wesker. Nemesis is awesome and he always freaks me out by saying: ''STAAAARS'' all of a sudden, and i think we all agree that wesker is one Crazy Badass Altough the Matrix moves are kinda weird :s I know that in every answer there is atleast 1 Re3 thing, but that's just my favourite Re3 game And i know that i said that OH SO MANY TIMES so i'll just stop writing now, and let all you share your opinion with everyone else! Haha. Your post was fun to read. I can really tell you have played these games. I am a big fan and much of what you say, I agree with. Resident evil 4 was pretty scary the first time I played through, and challenging. I always play games like that on hard the first time. You get more stuff opened up right off the bat. And even if its hard, I mean, your gonna pass it eventually. Especially with how easy games have started being made these days. Whats up with completing a game in 11 hours. I remember being 12 years old, and renting RE2 like 13 times to finish it. As for my favorite bad guy. Kruaser was kinda cool. Wesker is always cool, and his matrix stuff is kinda crazy, but with the way the series is going, it fits I guess. Mr. X from 2 is scary as hell. I remember the first time I met him, I just ran. I was in that hallway and was thinking I was safe. The music was playing like nothing was bad. Took like 5 steps and BAM!!! That fat bastard comes crashing through the wall. I could have soiled my self. William Berkens forms are very cool. As for hero's. Take one guess on who is my favorite. Hunk! Only the coolist. Dudes always packin fully auto, and his gas mask just wreaks of awesome. And when you play as him in 4 in the mercenary's mode, and you shoot a zed in the knee, the way he melee kicks them is SO bad ass!!! Its like the best game melee move ever and its so simple. I would love to see a new RE with old school style. Think of how many zombie Left 4 Dead has on screen. Just think if they're all slow, and the map is more confined at times. And bullets are not unlimited. It would be new school graphics, old game style.

I do agree about Krauser and Hunk And by the way, you are totally right about the games getting easier. When i was about 7, i was not able to ( Somehow ) get past that worm in Re3 ( When the concrete breaks under your feet while heading to the train and you fall down). I somehow believed that i had to kill it which ofcourse was impossible because of the lack of ammo due to wanting to exterminate every zombie and kill Nemesis all over again, and this all caused me to give up. And this all on EASY And on EASY in re3 you get a lot of ammo, trust me. You start off with over 30 magnum bullets, 250+ handgun bullets, over 60 shotgun rounds and 2 assault rifle clips with 100% (Weapons Included ofc ). And you pick up ammo ingame... So after all this years, playing other Re games and doing some research on the Re wiki, I got myself Re3 again, and played it through on hard, which ofcourse caused some failures at some points; the Nemesis at the clock tower and propably a few more things. But i did it! I was pretty happy and felt good after beating it. At this age, i was somehow able to just skip zombies instead getting scared and killing them from a distance. But let's get to the point. I have bought Re5 about 2 months ago. I played Re5 through in about 3 days and my total time was about 4 hours and 30 minutes... Somehow, i've put a solid 2 weeks (not 24/7 ) into beating Re3 on hard. The thing is that it's not the same anymore! Re3 has riddles,you are able to(and sometimes must)return to places you visited before, to finish the game. Re5 is just one storyline, you can't switch paths. Nothing of the old horror At Re3 you can change the story if you pick different options; Example: At the mutated nemesis on the bridge, if you JUMP then to start off Carlos saves you from 5 Zeds in the sewer,and you can accually negotiate with Nicholai, instead of his face getting DECIMATED by Nemesis; which happens if you push Nemesis off the bridge. And Re5 doesn't even have different endings... It's just blowing Wesker's head off, instead of being saved by Barry Burton instead of getting away with Carlos. You probably know what i mean. They have changed Resident Evil. The games have gotten a lot easier since the old ones.

I have to agree with RE2, and for frankly ridiculous reasons. The opening. If you stand there and shoot the zombies, you soon empty your weapon and die. You need to run. Or at least walk. Brad Vickers. Always my favourite character. The cut scene with the first licker. Or more accurately, it slithering past the window just before the cutscene. The Police station. Every room helped add to the story. The Ridiculous "Hidden Photo's" Leon's weapon upgrades. The first time the upgraded shotgun blew a zombie in half and the legs kept going? Classic. The Upgraded magnum that moved you backwards as you fired. Even Barry would be jealous.

I was here a long long time ago. Now it appears I'm back. Worship my vague and lazy power.

I agree it was the best. It's one of the only oldies I have from playstation. I only have most of the new Wii games.

I forget). As for the Patriach I have no clue.

Resident Evil 2 was one of my first games for the PsX, and actually my first zombie game in general. While I still loath the clunkiness of the camera shifts (Especially with the magnum or shotgun, oh god), I completed the game under the normal difficulty with Leon in that RCPD sniper's outfit. Fun times, fun times..had to pull out every exploit I could remember to keep from dying, but I still managed to pull out with a B-rating. Now compare that to Code Veronica X. That game, it makes me straight-faic :l Especially considering I got to Alexia Boss form 1 without dying once, then died 17 times on her. Ffff, my score plummeted from there. Went from around a B-rank to a sheer D. But I still beat it!

A guide to the new special attacks and effects

With the recently released update we have introduced new attack types and new combat effects. It's important to stress that this is still the early phase of the planned advanced combat system which will also include a much more graphical interface and loot from killed opponents as well as being able to equip bayonets, scopes and other extensions to your weapons. Here is a short guide to how it works.
