Despite all that came in the updates that i dont like,i can still get about 1 level a day at my level (310+),and i can still make at least $1k a day profit hunting(killing only,no looting).

I feel the worst for the new players i think.A lot of the changes here are said to be for them, but all the changes are really doing is making it that much harder for them to level and equip their character.Making it a more effort required, less reward received situation for them.

Positive things that came out of the updates ?
*Im actually using the sickbay now.
*Raiders are now as dangerous as they should be be.40+ killers with guns are now a threat, imagine that
*.....ummmmm,theres surely another thing or two,but i cant think of them at this time

If grouping ever gets implemented, the raider fights might become really really fun.Im thinking random generated raider camps, that groups can attack.Raiders attacking safehouses.etc...

This is interesting to me. I can gain as many as 2 or 3 levels in a day If I high level zed hunt and never get even close to $1K. I would have assumed with my low level of 30ish that making a level a day was impossible at level 310. I would not have thought you had enough SP to cover the XP cost to level.

It is very very close, the daily log in bonus gets me across the line though almost every time.It takes about 800 + zombies kills plus the bonus to get me a level.(the kills is a rough estimate)

Another big nerf and i wont be able to do so.

My intake for a days hunting is about 3 to $4k in net cash, then i sometimes buy ammo, with the profit at $1k +.I do on occasion get to keep a much higher profit as i dont always buy ammo.

And i now use the sickbay about once a day.

ZP Devs do not listen to the community.

They have a vision of what the game should be like, we are just here to find the buggs. I think they want it to be hard but not rewarding to please about 50 super hardcore zombie fans.

I'd like to think the game would get better but I sincerely doubt it.

I still have small hopes for ZP.
I think that the ship will have to sink a bit further before the devs will realise that the game needs to be fun and rewarding if they want a large player base and not just a few hardcore fans.

We learn from our misstakes and improve.

I haven't played the new update and I have no compulsion to do so.
However I have a lingering interest in how far this game will fall before it hits rock-bottom and everyone jumps ship.

I haven't played in 3 weeks or something, was looking forward to crafting and when it came it was useless to me. I just dont think its fun with "bang! bang! next... bang! bang! next.."

Will start playing again if i find good feedbacks here in the future or if more quests or purpose is added.

The lack of active people in this forum shows the dropping rate of people who wanna get involved wich reflects on the dissapointment of the latest updates.

Its time to remove the blindfold
Pls make the game fun again.

@Spiderjerusalem:

Hmm, I think I've tried that already before. It's just I had quoted many things already and couldn't really be arsed to reformat the whole thing. It seldom happens that I forget about something I wanted to add anyway, so it's no biggie.

@Anonymous:

As a ZP gamer, I felt so humilliated.

4 months ago we were like: "I can't wait until the next awesome update from devs!! Long live devs!!"

Now we are like this: "Oh My God, I can't bear the next crappy update they are going to do.. F*ck you, devs"

Times have changed. For bad.

Well, I wouldn't put it that drastically, but I do get that feeling sometimes. They do come up with nice implementations and new features, but I just can't help dreading the next nerfs as well.

@arabs:

ZP Devs do not listen to the community.

I believe the developers do listen to the community, but seem to pay more attention to the things they agree with more than the ones they don't. A clear example of this was the mega-nerf that came from the realism post. We all knew the devs wanted the game to become more hardcore - perhaps to gain notoriety in comparison to other more light-hearted games of the genre -, so all they needed was a push in that direction in the form of players' feedback.

To be fair, it's our own fault these changes were implemented. Had the majority of the player base voted on that poll, perhaps things would've headed a different direction. Since only a minority voted, well, here are the results.

However I have a lingering interest in how far this game will fall before it hits rock-bottom and everyone jumps ship.

That's sad - and yet it's exactly how many of us feel. I don't feel completely like that, since I'd like the game to flourish, but the scales are tilting quite on that side.

Agreed. I wonder how many (lasting) newcomers is the player-base really getting these days.

Blessed Sickbay, don't know what I'd do without it. As for the 40 madmen with a box-- I mean, gun--, well, them and what army? xD Kidding. Stay away from me, you loonies!

Ditto.

Well, to be fair, the number of active participants in the Forums was never that high to begin with, in comparison to the total active players in the game. I think perhaps the disgruntlement mirrors that feeling more accurately, but then again, maybe the silent majority is actually enjoying the recent changes. That, or they just don't really care.

Oh! The last part there I can explain! (i've been here from almost the start) There was never extreme activity on the forums(well, some activity battles have been fought xP), and to be honest, it have always been a pretty steady stream, maybe a little less since a few of the biggest posters(not me though, im here mostly for the community), have been bumped up, and has a direct line to the devs, therefore not needing to post on the forums.

Well I'm sticking to the "devs aren't complete idiots and have the data to tell them what paying players want" logic until proof of the contrary. Forum and chat complainers who "speak for most of the community" be damned.

The same game cannot cater to all tastes and opinions, especially if said tastes and opinions often radically diverge from one another. I push for my vision of the game, everybody else pushes for theirs. And, on occasion, I find myself pushing in the same direction that the most unlikely people are pushing. And vice versa.

I already have made clear, without the stats bonus I'm really not motivated to level. In fact, I can barely get enough interest to log in and scavenge now.

With 420 constitution points I was still dying. Not a lot, but it wasn't "easy". The mobs of raiders, in particular, in the 3rd map were/are insane. I truly see no reason for the need to nerf stats.

I understand "beta" means "things will change"... I'm also hoping this feedback will encourage "things will change BACK". Either that, or completely revamp the leveling and stats part of character development.

I don't play video games for "realism". I have reality for that. I play games for escapism. I worked diligently and paid my dues to get my character where it had been. If I wanted to play a game that was going to always be a challenge I'll go play something else and start fresh there. I hated struggling at the beginning. I enjoy being strong enough to wade into mobs and dispense with indiscriminate justice ($.02 to Starcraft).

Nor, by the way, do I begrudge anyone for having played longer and earned more points and having a stronger player than my own. So be it. I feel sad for them that they've been nerfed back, too.

Please roll this update back.

I dont get out and kill zombies anymore either - it used to be a fun thing to do, I am seeing far more zombies around too.
I am wondering if people arent logging on as much anymore or have they just stopped killing as many zombies.

I bet it would be easy for the devs to look at the site stats how an update affected the art of playing the game and how players like the change.

What I see is a higher number of registrations of players because of forum adds and facebook. But the period people stick to the game gets shorter and shorter. I kick more inactives from the clan then ever. Players who don't survive their first random encounter won't bother to ever login again.

Pro-tip 4 devs: create a new char and try to bring him as fast as possible to the top of map 3. If you think ZP sucks befor you managed to do so... something's rotten in the state of Denmark...
Even if a beginner has the "luck" of a Bridget Fisher and finds a complete set of SF in a trash can next to Campus as well as an Atchisson... this won't stop him from being killed or completely getting over-bored by playing carefully (means running from almost every danger)

This game will be popular (and will bring in cash) if the people stick to it and become active, well entertained players, not if as many as possible register and then leave immediately.
Our happiness is the butter on devs bread!

I guess that many players have reached the ZP 'endgame' and are looking for something to do?

I think the addition of PvP and Clan warfare might be of interest to me when I reach that stage. If it is reasonably well designed and not just something cobbled together at he last moment.

I wonder how many current ZP endgamers would feel better about things of these features were implemented right now?

With the recently released update we have introduced new attack types and new combat effects. It's important to stress that this is still the early phase of the planned advanced combat system which will also include a much more graphical interface and loot from killed opponents as well as being able to equip bayonets, scopes and other extensions to your weapons. Here is a short guide to how it works.
