Epilogue "Am I... alive?" "Yes, you... Er, we are!" Thanks goodness, three of them landed on top of a swirling pine tree. Vivian hummed with a sigh of relief as they survived from the plane. She noticed that the guns that she held earlier were gone. She smiled as she was not a good gunner after all.
"Gosh, we've to get down from here." "How? Jump again?! That's a suicide!" "Nope, we slide down now." Albert did first and went sliding down the pine tree. Once landed, he called out for Rebecca, but she was scared and told Vivian to go first. Vivian sighed while pretending the method used as a ordinary slide and slid down in top speed. She roared with laughter when she remembered how she used to play in the theme park's massive slide. Albert caught her before she was landed on the ground to her toes.
Next was Rebecca's turn. She tried her best not to look down and closed her eyes.
SWISH~ Down she went with her skirt floated about as the wind 'caught' it. Apparently, Albert saw her purple undies from below during the process! This had made Rebecca's face blushed and pointed out that he was a pervert. However, Albert replied to her,
"Excuse me, is this the time to say so?" But, he was slapped by her instead. Vivian laughed when she witnessed the awkward scene. Albert's face was indeed as red as a ripe tomato with a hand mark on his left cheek.
"Let's move on, shall we? We need to find somewhere safe before night sets in." said Albert. Rebecca did not reply him and marched forwards angrily. He grumbled to himself that the girl was too sensitive while proceeding with Vivian sticking near him. From afar, Vivian saw something moving between the ruins of collapsed apartments. Since it was dark, she could not see what it was, and paused for the clearer look. When Albert asked her why she stopped, the little girl lied,
"Nothing, I'm just looking at those pine trees around us. They're beautiful!" Albert pushed her forwards gently to make her knew that they should not waste time. She mumbled and looked at the ruins one more time before she caught up with Rebecca.
Watching the three going off, the 'thing' came out from its hiding place. It stared at the pine tree which they landed earlier. A blue cap was hanged on one of the branches which Rebecca did not realize it was missing from her head. It took the cap and wore it.
"How comfortable! I can feel it again." it thought with a smile on its face. Later, it lunged itself up into the air with its echoic howl, signifying that the hunt for fresh meats...
HAD BEGUN.
