When the final or non beta of this game is made public will everything be reset as in we will have to all go back to level 1. |

Last time this was discussed on old forums it sounded like we will have to restart. There is quite a bit of debate over it. Because the game isnt finished right now so we might get glitchy advantages that later players wont. But what about all those hours? I am sure the dev team will have some kind of item, or addon type thing for players who were in the beta. Or even a symbol by your name. Although Id prefer a unique item or symbol on my avatar. The symbols next to names will just get cluttery and crazy once everyone starts to get 2 or 3 each. |

The gameplay is not perfectly balanced and when we add new functionality it might mean that beta players will get an advantage. If I turned on scavenging right now, the current players would get too many powerful items for free. Then we might decrease the number and probability of the powerful items but we couldn't possibly undo the advantage gained by the players who scavenged while scavenging was new.
One could argue that the game is unbalanced anyway since old players will always be far ahead of new players... |

We will definitely think of some bonus item/achivement/icon for you guys don't worry.
Youre right about glitches, they can give you unfair advantages too.
It wasn't our intention to let players have more than 1 icon at a time, just to let you change it to another icon if you unlock one you like better. |

Restart-Yes(I took advantage of 1 stat point per 2 hour of training) CB Tester Perk-Well I would really like something that makes us stand out in the final release,but is fair to everyone who starts later. |

Perk seem to be a good idea. A new player might think "a hell these beta testers have to much boost why they soud have?Just because they tested the game?" So More money is not a good idea,contrary to perk which is justified. |

I agree that we need a restart. For example now the technical skill is completely unnecessary, but when it become necessary we may need it, somebody - A LOT, so i think that we need a restart when game will be completed. About perk/prize... hmm,i think that it may be rather than not, but it mustn't make a huge difference between beta-testers and non beta - testers. I think it be something not very important (not yet invented what). Btw most beta testers will be more fast-growing, knowing etc. than non beta-testers (for example - knowing about locations can be good booster for just everything) so dont worry about difference between them, it will be anyway. |

I like the idea of a new item/perk, as long as it's not so overpowered as to be unfair. Maybe a trophy or achievement type thing? Or maybe access to a different type of avatar/avatar addon? |

I made a list of possible things tell me what you think. 1. Something next to our name. 2. Access to a area of map only we can get to. 3. Start with more money. 4. All Items cost a little less to us. (notice i said a little not a lot) 5. Start with or have access to special weapons only available to us. 6. Special avatars. 7. 1 point for every 5 hours of training or 2 points for every 10 hours. (same thing just worded differently) 8. A little more SP or walking around the map uses less SP. 9. Zombies give more money and or more experience to us. Thats all i can think of atm see if you can think of anything different of a better version of one of my ideas. |

@Gamer4life 1. Is already gonna be in the game I believe. 2. This would be cool if it had no real benefit, more just for fun. Like maybe we can get into a back room at the Pixel Pandemic HQ. 3. Maybe start with an item that is not too hard to get, but nice to start with. That way its not to much of an advantage. It would just make it a small amount easier, since we did already do all the newb lvl stuff. 4. I don't think so. Even if it was a 1% price decrease, it would still add up to us getting 1% more XP than a none beta player. 5. I'd say this would be ok if we got to choose from a list of items. So we still get a kinda crappy pistol or something, but it doesn't have to be the exact same one. 6. Special avatars. YES!!! xD 7. Training is already too fast to me. You can get 2 skills every day easy, and 1 lvl a day on average. Until about 40. That's a lot of skills. It didn't take long for me to get 95% to everything. Its kinda boring to get it maxed out. Hopefully there will be things added to reduce the % to hit, like fog, rain, mud in your face, anything. 8. You cant mess with the SP or else its really gonna affect the game long term for players. The only thing I could say that might not be too bad is to let beta testers have 500 max SP. So you would get 25 hours max points. (little like UD) Most players who are pretty active don't ever let there points get maxed anyways, so all it would do is give you a little slack if you accidentally slept in like 5 hours. xD 9. No way. Would make us win no matter what. |

We will already have a HUGE advantage when the game goes live as we tested it, and will pretty well have the ins and outs of power leveling down cold. So no additional advantages - How would we be able to identify a new account as "belonging" to a beta tester anyway? Paradox Interactive gives beta testers a special icon underneath their forum avatar for whatever game they helped out the Devs with. That's fine with me, as well as the privilege of starting out every post with When I was beta testing the game... or maybe So I says to Helo if you really wanna knock 'em dead... I do hope we can reuse our character names when the game comes out of beta - Something I really should have thought of before jumping in with my "flagship" alt name. |

That sounds like an entire feature reserved for beta testers. That might be a little over the top compared to a general feature like achievements that every one can get but with a special one reserved for beta testers.

Maybe I am a little strange in this regard. I kinda like starting over in RPG's, they tend to be more of a challenge when you are low level. And the good loot is so much sweeter when you really need it. Level 20 to 30 in Fallout 3 is kindof a drag since you have all the guns and even though there are new and tougher enemies, they are still too easy to deal headshots to.
We certainly don't want to discourage beta testers from playing after the beta ends but I dont think we can do without a reset. It will probably be some kind of special bling you guys get, nothing that affects gameplay. |

Good point about knowing the ins and outs beforehand.
We wont delete user accounts, just characters, so we can mark your user with a beta attribute which would trigger the bonus when you create your character. So you can reuse your old character name, if you are not beaten to it by an angry rival . |

...meh. I'll just be grumpy about it when the times comes I suppose. I completely understand the need for a reset, I'm just mad because I'll have to climb the skill ladder again. Nothing that I can't deal with, though; I'll definitely still play after the Beta stage.
As for restarting in RPG's...yeah I definitely have to once in a while to keep the game fresh lol. I can't remember how many different characters I've created in Oblivion and Fallout...

I dont see how this one is bad 2. Access to a area of map only we can get to. it can be a perk to us and can also allow us to continue to beta test stuff in that specific area as in quests or guns or something else so we can get the bugs out before it is implemented to the whole map |

We should have our names reserved. I don't want to get on a few hours after the update and find that every version of my name is used because people want to grief me. Names should be reserved. At least for the top 200 players. |
