I think it would be kinda cool to have like a dog walk around with you and maybe help you fight, like in I Am Legend. Discuss |

I was thinking this also. I thought of this because it would be an EASY, awesome addon for avatars. To have a dog or something sitting next to your avatars feet. Or for girl characters, (or guys like me who just love cats) could have a cat holding backpack. Imagine how cute it would be with its little head poking out. xD But on a more practical since. I think having a pet should come with GREAT responsibility. It should take dedication, and loyalty to earn one. Anyone can get some yapping mutt but it takes time and patience to train a dog not to start barking at everything. You also got to feed him, give him attention, (pet you dog for 3 SP) and other things that make him use time and some SP and some supplies. That way any advantages givin from the pet can be well earned. |

true i agree... pets would be lovely... i want a pet "Bear" lol jk..... few pets: dog, cat, eagle, crow, turtle[steal it form the turtle boy ] , wolf, snake, monkey, --- we can get them from either pet store - or catch them from the zoo or fish them from the sea --- ooo also create some completely new and original creatures - you know. cuz of all the mutation and stuff ... like an overgrown spider or ameba and the pets should be able to level up and stuff.... and different abilities... i want an eagle or at least an owl - birds could help prevent sudden attacks or make the enemy noticable earlier so that the attacking distance could be furthered ---- love the pet idea ...please consider it for serious =) |

I would say if there are any mutated type pets, that they should be saved for zombie players. Like undead digs, big spiders, mutated rats, ect. Im not sure about the bird thing. I could only see it working if it was very very hard to get it. Otherwise the game is gonna end up with everyone having a pet just for the benefit it gives. A pet should almost be a burden sometimes. |

undead digs... lol sorry.. meant undead dogs. Its so weird. Sometimes it gives me the option to edit my posts, and other times it doesn't. Does anyone know if there is a time limit, or like when you log out everything is permanent, or what? Thanks for any info. |

It seems like no t all forum subjects can be editted that is why in some we can correct our posts & in some not. it is just the question of proper rights setting i think. |

Update I can edit my post but from Seth's Talking it seems that not every user has this option active. it can be activated by the admins. |

Considering this is just a browser game, I don't think pets should be so complicated. I'll sum up my take. The higher your level, the more options you have. For instance, the higher your level, the more useful a pet you could have. Mr. Level 1 is confined to choosing between a simple dog or cat, whereas Mrs. Level 100 can choose between tons of different types. (I would want a raccoon...maybe score some extra dough after a battle is won, or perhaps I could scavenge twice and choose the most valuable loot from one of my two searches to keep. I dunno. I just like raccoons.) Basically, each animal could bring its own individual advantage to the table. The more you play, the better the pets you could get. Maybe this could encourage more people to continue playing. Regardless, I'd rather not have an overly complicated pet system. Feeding, grooming, petting..? All totally unnecessary. |

I think all pets should have different styles. A dog or cat should not be seen as low level. A lvl 100 should be able to have a very cool cat if he wants. (I would have a cat) And the cat can just get new abilities as the player lvls. I still think pets should be more for fun, and as a companion than as a constant advantage. |

A phoenix would probably throw the continuity for a loop...then again, so would a giraffe or a rhino. I dunno. It's whatever, really. |

Yeah games with those functions usually have that to make you buy ingame "Premium" items.

Maybe the pets thing could be a thing that only us beta testers get except they don't do really help all that much in fighting but they could be a collectible and i still want a Phoenix Pet
Pretty unfair...most likely won't happen. |

Im not a PETA member but I don't like the idea of having animals as pets I would rather have a Human NPC instead. For Human NPCs, I would have to heal them if they get injured in battle I would have to give them weapons, ammo and armor if needed and I can use them as a mobile storage room. |

Human accomplices would be welcome as well. I'd just prefer an animal. Surely they could implement both if need be. |

Human NPCs? Naahhh. Its a good idea for other games, but this game seems like the type that should have as few NPCs as possible. That could be set into a pay for protection feature. How people keep talking about making a bounty hunter feature where a player gets pked, so they pay cash to put up a bounty on the pker. Now who ever kills that guy gets that cash. It could work like that. You put out an add, (follow me and protect me through So-and-So quest, and receive -850$-) That sorta thing. There should be locations in the map that players go to, to advertise this stuff. Please dont make a ton of different chat menus, and message boxes like other games. I dont want to hear you talking unless your standing next to me. xD If I want to do player missions, I should go to a player mission area. A lot of games just add trade chat and crap like that and it just clutters up the game. |

Pets should have special abillities indeed. I think that there should be pets for additional damage, luck boost for scavenge, you know what i mean! =D It could be a major improvement to the game, only there would be no need to wash or brush it xD. I mean, I'ts not Nintendogs for the love of God :3 |

I think that the most reasonable thing to have is an imaginary pet. The times are hard, we're all partly ill or infected, our mind is deteriorating, so we create ourselves reflections of our ID( basic psychology ) . Our "friend" can't do jack, but if he gets hurt or dies somehow, we flip out, lose health, sp, whatever. that would be a twist, you have to guard your psyche. |

Hmm an interesting idea really.Like people with lower smarts could have a "Bear spirit" and with higher ones a cat for instance .I think that an argument will start over your idea. |

Aside for enjoying the attention I hope not. It's silly actually or at least too weird for a survival game and way too hard to implement... But I believe it's quite a fun perspective. original if nothing |

Well... But you know after 2 months of improper nourishment almost everyone would see spirits elves and so on. But lots an lots of games have a pet system i treated your idea as making our system less typical and different in some way.But i am aware it is against logic. |

Not as much against logic as is against game logic. Don't think people would like to see that. Personally I would, it combines pets ant mental status into one strange existence, but I don't know....guess people would think it's pushing it. Gonna make my own game some day ! |
