Since we have clans why not make it possible in the future to buy locations

    Since we have clans why cant we have the ability to buy a location to make as our place of residence and only clan members can get in and we can also buy upgrades to them so our clan members can train there skills there. and many other things that i cant think of at this moment.

    That is what the safe house thing is all about. I am not sure if there gonna set it so once you got it, its yours, or it will be like Urban Dead and be able to be over run and have to flee. I hope for both. A well organized and active clan should be able to hold a fort pretty good, unless another well organized clan attacks them a lot. But I don't want to see safe houses getting torn to shreds by newbies tearing at the cades. A building should only be able to take so much dmg at a time. And a lower level player should do way less. That way you don't get people making 50 lvl 4 accounts and spamming your safe house with melee attacks. That would be lame. xD

    The idea of having a clan find a location, design and build not only barricades but facilities and then defend it could make a very interesting addition to the game. I like it.
    Scavenger quests: Designing and building the hall could generate quests along scavenger hunt lines. "This rubble is no good, we need something square and boxy to work with. We need 250 suitcases and 25,000 books to rebuild the south wall. Go get them."
    Storage: One of the benefits of membership could be the ability to safely store equipment at the clan hall. Tired of carrying that mini-gun all over the place? Leave it at home. Just take your SMG, and come back for the monster when you need it. Yes, this might be open to abuse, but limitations can be built in.
    Facilities: I figure if the cult can have facilities for training both marksmanship and techie skills, a clan-held safehouse should be able to offer one training facility. The clan, however, should be able to charge a fee for the use of faciliity. $1,500 for a 10 hour block of training time, say. Coupled with a basic equipment exchange and you can see how a clan might make a few bucks.
    Strategic play: With the rise of powerful clans, it would only be a matter of time before they begin competing for limited manpower and resources. Alliances would form, be broken and new alliances begin. That would change the game for many. It would also make being clanless an interesting balancing act. I like the idea, but can see that it might also lead to abuse.
    Zerglings? I hadn't thought about that, but i should have. (Cool word, where is it from?) Is there a way to limit this form of abuse? Soon the zeds might rise up and protest the way the living are putting them out of work. (Dead, Yes! Retired, NO!)
    Hmm, maybe we need a new zombie type, the street protester zed... I know, off topic, belongs in another thread.
