We already got some flying goggles, a biker’s jacket, a kevlar vest and a chef’s hat. But what other clothes and equip able armor would you like in the game. Obviously the items should fit in one of the "equipment slots" are torso, face, hands, head legs and feet.

If any of these are already in the game...my bad.

    Head/Face

    Welding helmet
    Baseball cap
Propeller hat (You know...the cap with the little spinning propeller. It'd be silly.)
    Surgeon mask
    Gas mask
    Firefighter hat
Headgear (one of those old leather football helmets. Speaking of which...)
    Football helmet
    Super-glued spiky hair (Lol.)

    Torso

    Football padding
    Tactical Vest
    Hippy Vest
    Keg Breastplate
    Barrel Breastplate (Etc.)
Plate Mail (Rare find in a museum or mansion, perhaps?)
Leather Armor (Self-made somehow in the future, maybe.)
R.U.D.S. (Redneck Undead Deflection System. Basically a trashcan lid duct-taped onto your chest. Lol again. I'm tired...)
    Shirt (Gotta start with somethin'..)

    Hands

    Leather gloves
Chain-mail gloves (another rare find I suppose)
    Kevlar gloves (?)
    Fingerless gloves
    Rubber gloves
    Gentleman gloves (Micky Mouse ftw.)
Arm warmers (Girls and emo kids love 'em.)

    Legs

    Pants
    Leather Britches
Skirt (for the ladies, I hope)
Kilt (Couldn't leave the guys out)
    Cargos
    Jogging pants

    Feet

    Bowling shoes
    Greaves
    Sneakers
    Sandals
    Socks

Ice Climbing Boots. The ones with the huge spikes in the front. Make them very heavy, but you get a bonus in melee fights.
Duel wield one handed things. [Left Hand] [Right Hand]
    Riot Shield
More Foods. Canned Corn. Box of Crunchies Cereal. Uncooked Noodles. Can of Citrus Soda.
Coins? Like pennies. Even if no value, could be used for shrapnel in pipe bombs and stuff.

Things that actually function as armor:
    Garbage can lid
    steel toed boots
    construction helmet
lab apron (to a certain degree... protects from chemicals, but not so much a zombie bite)
    football pads
martial arts chest guard (usually made of hard plastic I think, at least for females)
chain mail. it is very possible to make by hand (you need wire, a rod, wire cutter, and pliers), but it takes a loooong time
    groin protector
    goalie mask
    goalie helmet

Things that don't give much armor, but would be cool to have (for RPing maybe):
monocle (I really, really, really want this one)
    top hat
    giant #1 foam hand
    university jacket
    bling
    tux
    bridal veil/dress
I think a lot of people would want a harry potter scarf. Or glasses.
    jester hat
two empty halves of a coconut. carried in by a an african swallow.
    bunny slippers
Zombie strippers: it only seems kinky the first time ~ Ladder Foxhound

    Head:
Confederate Hat (or military box style hat)
Ghoul Mask (like a halloween zombie mask)
    Ninja Mask?
    Beanie

Idk Aiden already posted the welder, gas and surgeon masks.

    Face:
    Thick black rimmed glasses
    Joke glasses?
    Contacts
    Night vision goggles

    Torso:
    Button up shirt
    Mesh shirt
    Tattoos?
    Long sleeve shirt
    Bullet belt? (though no effect?)

I also agree with the riot shield... though I have no idea how that's clothing... It'd be cool for a Swat zombie to have one and everything though.

I would imagine contacts would have less % to get knocked out of your item slot when hit by a extremely strong. A character who wears glasses could have them punched off their face. Maybe even an anti-perk for bad eye sight. Without glasses, or contacts, your accuracy skill could plummet. Not to mention other tasks that be harder. I still think anti-perks would be a cool element.

well besides adding maybe a cool ability like the one Seth said, I would guess that some people might want contacts for the RP element to a degree.

Anti perks sound wicked cool as well. Like you get a temporary anti perk for dying (like needing rescue) and take some penalties until you've sufficiently rested yourself over 36 hours or something.

uh, 1 out of 30 gets anti-perk glasses/contacts required? (there will be more, maybe one person can only have like 1 of a special kind anti-perk)

Anti-perks should be purchased, not assigned. A player should accept the disadvantage that he will get for buying the anti-perk, but in doing do, he gains XP, or an alternate perk tree. A player should not be forced to wear glasses. Even though we do not get to decide this in real life, I think if it is implemented right, it will round out so only hard core RPers, or people with that disability in real life will choose that anti-perk.

Imagine, if your pretty strong in real life. your not going to want to pick a bunch of anti-perks giving you negatives to strength. Even if you get a bunch of XP for it. You wont be able to stand playing such a crippled character. And to unbuy anti-perks should cost 10x the original price, as to keep players from swapping character styles over night.

There are dozens of fun and interesting things I can think of for anti-perks.

    Old.
    Brittle.
    Smoker.
    Fatty.
    Blind.
    Deaf.
    Wimp.
    Shaky.

Anti-perks could be purchased in levels. I think most should go up to level 5. Example.

Shaky Hands. (You're hands have a constant tremble)

Level 1 - You get a -5% to accuracy, and precision tests.

Level 2 - You get a -9% to accuracy, and precision tests. You have a 8% chance to damage yourself when healing.

Level 3 - You get a -16% to accuracy, and precision tests. You have a 13% chance to damage yourself when healing, and 4% chance to damage others when healing another player.

Level 4 - You get a -24% to accuracy, and precision tests. You have a 19% chance to damage yourself when healing, and 9% chance to damage others when healing another player. -7% to open some small keypads, and locks.

Level 5 - You get a -31% to accuracy, and precision tests. You have a 23% chance to damage yourself when healing, and 11% chance to damage others when healing another player. -13% to open some small keypads, and locks.

Imagine trying to play a character that had many level 5 anti perks. You would be a useless sack of crap. So the game should warn the player. YOU ARE ABOUT TO BUY THIS ANTI-PERK!! ARE YOU SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES??

Another small example, like me in real life, I would have a VERY VERY hard time sticking a needle into my body, even to save my life. ANTI-PERK!!

Fear of Needles -15% to heal when using syringes.

Of course you can have another player do it for you. Unless they have the fear too, and its like level 4. So they cant even carry a needle. Haha.

Haha, ok, i understand, hmm, im also scared of needles, maybe only level 1 though

BUT i have glasses (level 1 here too)

also i have grass allergies, level 3, allergies should give major disadvantages close to the effected pollen era(only affects pollen though, but ofc, Gluten allergies will lose health by eating bread etc)

Yessssss... stuff like this is what I am talking about. See.. I don't have allergies to food, so me as a player would not pick that, because I would forget I had it and scarf a twinkie or something and BAM!!! I'm puking and taking SP decrease and whatever. It would be cool if different foods gave you different types of boosts. Like some foods might not do anything for hours, but then it kicks in and lasts for a couple days. Or some foods are instant SP, but with some sacrifice later. Not sure.

It would be nice to get enough realistic elements into the game, that it almost teaches you how to survive in a similar situation. Like to be in a real zombie situation, and survive something because of the knowledge you had from a game. xD Sounds corny, but I have played so many military, gang, crime, shooter games that I pretty much understand the workings of a gun. Where as someone who had never held an MP5 before, might not even be able to figure out how to fire it. lol Where as I have never touched a real one before, but I bet 1000 dollars I could load one and fire it in under 15 seconds. Hail Rainbow Six!!!

We're getting into some complicated attributes with allergies and such lol. I like the idea of anti perks but with that it just seems too in depth almost too complex...

I didn't think I'd not want it to be realistic to a degree. But I'd rather have my character be fine rather than wimpy under stress and fatefully commit suicide while in a fight lol. I also get that people don't have to buy them. It just seems.... well idk. Unnecessary in the described manner.

I am a huge fan of weird and crazy clothes. In a cool way though, not a goofy way.

    Head.

    GAS MASK!!
    Riddick Style Goggles.
Army of Two style Metal Face Mask.
    5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12, inch Tophats, all colors.
    Paintball Mask.
    Cat Ears. costume piece

    Torso.

    Studded Punk Vest.
    Studded & Spiked Punk Vest.
Heavily Studded Punk Vest. various combination. All could have the same image, name is just for RPers. Maybe you like studs more than spikes, such as I. xD
    Buckle Strap Vest.
    Sleeveless Jacket.
    Furry Vest. Brown, white, etc.
    Scull Shirt.
    Patched Army Jacket.

    Legs.

    Gothic Buckle Pants.
    Buckle Strap Shorts.
    Cargo Jeans, Shorts.
    Red Punk Pants.
    Patched Denim Jeans.
    Denim Shorts.
    Goth Chain Shorts.
    Rugged Punk Jeans.

    Feet.

    Army Boots.
    Heavy Duty Work Boots.
    Steal Toe Work Boots.
Knee High Buckles Strap Goth Boots.
    Buckles Strap Goth Boots.
    Studded Steal Toe Combat Boots.
Spurred Bladed Combat Boots. (kick someone with a knife basically) xD

I did not cover all types of clothing, but I think this gives an idea. Also, there should be attributes certain clothing can have. it does not have stats, or change your play in any way, it is simply there as part of the description for your clothing.

    Such as...

I wear ---- Worn, Old, Maroon, Punk Style Combat Boots.

You could have ---- Frayed, Weathered, Black, Army Style Combat Boots.

They're the same exact item, just different flavor text. So even if you only got 20 types of feet items, the combination of new, old, dirty, clean, colors, laces, will make infinite possible character styles. And things like the Scull Shirt. Maybe you wear a Red & White Scull Shirt. (This red shirt had a big white scull on the front) And I wear a Black & Orange Scull Shirt. (This Black Shirt has a big orange skull on the front of it)

These combination could be randomly generated in certain areas. Like in a ransacked, burned out old shoe store, your only going to find old burn shoes probably. Or in a fire damaged S.W.A.T. van you could find a fire damaged police jacket. Certain NPCs could sell clothing and customize it for a price. Maybe you want a Scull Shirt, but want a (Small) scull. This black shirt has a small white skull on the front. Stuff like this would make every player have almost full range of real style clothing. Most players tend to dress in a manner that appeals to them, or exactly how they dress in real life. So this would add a great social element. You could recognize people with similar tastes, or personalities.

The flavor text for clothing should be all added for fun, except some things like frayed, weathered, worn, scraped, stuff like this should add as your items take damage. Imagine a zombie that is not very hard to kill, but even high levels hate them because they deal extra damage to armor, or target a certain item more often. Like a puking zombie, or a scratcher or.. idk. Certain NPCs could renew your items, for a price. They could change colors, to a degree. Add upgrades, like blades to your boots for some extra... kick. Studded work gloves. +1 to bare handed fighting.

This armor damage would be another good way to penalize players for dieing. It would also be a lesser blow to a PK victim than losing a huge chunk of XP. You could lose like 2% XP max, lose a few skills, and your items get all worn out. I hate to use any style from WoW, but an armor repair would be nice, and not TOO big of a deal. But still, I do think there should be some permanent damage from a full on death. Getting beat up though could just damage items. getting a beatdown could damage items, and skills a little. beating someone till like 10 HP from death, could damage items skills quite a bit, and give a -10% to XP earned for 10 hours. And a full on death could be item damage, skill loss like 5 points, % of XP, -15%XP gained for 12 hours, cant train for 20 hours. I know my death style seems harsh, but with the beatdown system, I would hope players have rumbles more than murder fests. And, a players XP loss could be based on a karma style level. So a d-bag PKer is gonna lose 3% XP on a death, and maybe like 8 skills. A nice player, or good karma plaer would lose 2% XP and 5 skills. Even add in something that players can purchase at HQs, or from certain NPCs that gran less loss. Like it costs 10,000 to buy one of them. But you lose 1% XP, and 2 skills.

    Rambling again... damn... xD

    END!!!
