This is not a game for the faint-hearted.

The most interesting and re-playable game I've ever sat down to, Arkham Horror is based on the notorious writings of H.P. Lovecraft. It is extremely complicated and takes about 2-4 hours to play, but it is epic and delightfully made.

Getting into the game is pretty expensive (I've become so addicted that my friends and I play more than once a month and I've gathered all of the overpriced expansion sets), so I recommend either going in with some friends, or finding someone who has the game before you purchase it yourself. Give it a go and see if it is your type of game (it is most certainly not for those with short attention spans) before you spend the $40+.

Although it does not revolve completely around zombies, zombies are present, and it is, in essence, the ultimate end of the world game.

 I like Arkham Horror too. I like the fact that its a coop game; players against the game. And Lovecraft's mythology is great too, his books are a bit old school but they are still worth reading.

It doesn't seem feasible to actually battle an Ancient One who has broken through to our world but I guess they needed some kind of end game. Azathoth is the only one who is truly bad-ass, he just destroys the world and you know thats gotta suck. Hey, stop that! Thats were i keep all my stuff!
