OOC: I wish to make a note that this is a personal side project I would like to invest a lot of time into as well as perhaps...someday, maybe make a book. However I am going to need some help from my fellow zombie crazed lunatics. I am looking for characters. Personally I am all for playing your real selves cause it's always cool to know how you can survive in a zombie apocalypse. But if you have a role playing character that is fine what I am going to need from you is as much detail as humanly possible. Here is a nice list of what I am looking for but PLEASE put in more. I am looking for perhaps 20-30 characters into this book (will be about 900-1200 pages..with luck)

Of course anyone who partook in this assignment WOULD be paid IF it were to be published and printed. I know the zombie craze is everywhere and we can put a huge impact into this. Also do you have plots, thoughts on the story? Feel free to suggest them. Personally I was going to make a reference to Haiti as well as other global crisis's to lead up the inevitable "survival" but we will just have to see with applications. So read below and try to get into the mindset of your character when you write out your biography/character sheet.

Setting: Imagine it's Febuary 2nd, 2012. Rioting has increased in the states to a uncontrollable level due to immigration, inflation of gas prices, and tax hikes. The media has been bastardized by the general populous as liars, scoundrels, and false profits. They have been said to be ran by the government and know nothing of "free speech" anymore. During this time please include exactly what you have been doing, your views and thoughts on this as well as what you would like to see done (you not caring also works if your character is like that.)

February 14th, 2012. Valentines day has hit and The riots have shifted to something catastrophic. People are being gassed, arrested. S.W.A.T. has had to step in to help the local police force with riot shields. Soon, a scream is heard just after a gunshot. The crowd disperses quickly as the camera from the helicopter pans into zoom around two bodies, one hunched over the other.

A local police officer walks to the bodies and kneels down to inspect the wounded man. The officer, looks startled but it is to late as he tries to leap back the man hurdles it's body quickly at the officer tearing his jugular out putting the man in a state of shock. His body twitches on the ground, blood pouring out of the wound in a pool around him. The ripples from the choppers blades blowing it into a wider mess. Officers rush in to help the downed man and pull out batons to subdue the man.

They beat at him rapidly as he spits bile out as if vomiting on the men. Chunks of flesh and blood in the black ooze. The news reporter notices the dead mans body soon rises and walks eerily slowly to the crowd of officers and attacks one of the men latching onto the back of his neck. By this time it's to late, the police attempt to beat the rabid man off avoiding any hostile take downs. In a state of panic in a matter of minutes another three officers are dead or wounded, and only the two men have been shot. It seems that this threat is over as they head to the hospital to get their wounds treated the reporter looks stunned as the camera pans back to her. She gives her piece and it goes back to the anchorman.

For this it's obvious. How would you react to the footage and what steps would you make to prepare for this? Would it make you just have something to talk about at dinner with the wife and kids? Or would you automatically assume "The invasion" has come. Be serious with this please and give as much details as you possibly could.

NOT ENOUGH! lol. Alright a very underweight individual bud...but no problem. We got to have some anarexic or malnurished kids, right?

Alright correct me if I am wrong but I was thinking something along the lines of this for your character. He is a typical teenager who has a gun fetish. He is something of a ladies man, or tries to be. He is something of an athletic punk who is overly paranoid over nothing then realizes that when the infection spread he was overly cocky with the "I knew it!" speeches. However after being betrayed by one to many humans and left for dead a few times he quickly learned to stay away and be a recluse. Over the course of his journies he picked up the habit of being a vegetarian eating only fruits and vegetables with not meat. It makes him look almost zombie like, lacking the proteins in his body that he needs. His body is rather bony, face showing signs of malnutrition as the cheeks are sucked in.

By all means put in your own ideas but I am looking to make the character real like any book strives to do.

He still has belief in the government though, and assumes that the current leaders are doing their best leading the country. Ray has always made sure to check the reasons for why people have been rioting before he makes up his mind about each and every situation, but generally, he thinks of rioters as anarchists.
Hobbies or likes: He enjoys spending time with his friends, although they have always been few. He also enjoys cooking, playing videogames, being out in the nature and preparing for a potentional apocalypse. No kidding.
Dislikes: People that speak before they think, those who have no respect for authorities, and bananas.
Favorite meals: Chicken wings, ribs, barbeque, and pasta served with pesto and parmesan cheese.
Past: Ray likes to think of himself as a sensible person, humouristic, and quite talented. The rest of the world, however, doesn't. Since he started school, he has always been bullied, either for his enormous length or his behaviour. This has lead to that Ray rarely trusts someone deeply - He can get along almost perfectly with most people, and he is definently charming... But he still keeps others at a distance, always considering them a threat until they have proved their worth... Some might call that paranoid. But hey, as long as people think you're sane, you are, right? After he hit puberty, Ray started working as a paperboy for a small newspaper. He soon started studying at Roranfield High-School as well, since he dreams of someday becoming a doctor. Due to this, he is quite good at performing first aid.

Ray has also had a special hobby: Preparing. When most of his classmates were out drinking booze and destroying property, he decided to get a somewhat different interest. He started searching the internet for tips of how to survive everything from natural disasters, to nuclear wars and zombie apocalypses. He didn't believe that any of that would really happen... But if he was going to do something with his free time, why not this? He was bored, pretty much. So he began setting up a Bug Out Bag, create strategical plans, build safehouses he could return to... Up until that very day...
Present: The day Ray heard about the incident, he got worried. A dead guy getting up from the ground, alive again? Sounded like a zombie to him. However, even if this whole situation wasn't just a big mistake, he could still not do anything. It wasn't as if the apocalypse was just around the corner... So he continued preparing, until his town was struck by the Zombie Plauge too. The minute this happened, Ray grabbed his bag of supplies, and ran to his treefort which he had built himself. After that, he kept on moving south, attempting to get to a harbour or something, or at least the military... The government couldn't be completely fucked, right? They could still help...
