I completely agree with Terru. At the beginning, new player will have to use melee weapons a lot because they won't have enough money for bullets and therefore will get much difficulty leveling until they have relatively good stats. Improving starting quest rewards will definitely a great idea.

Lets be realistic here. This game is survival horror, correct?

So I shouldn't be finding a .50 Magnum in the bin, or a teddy bear in a police car. People want to scavenge, but it is expensive (SP). As has been said over and over:

* make the loot match the container
* decrease the number of valuable containers while giving fair chances of finding reasonable loot in said containers
* give fairly good chances of finding loot - you should find loot in military/police containers (40% - 60%?)

In addition - the loot system should feel incomplete at the moment because we can't loot zeds. I'd imagine that police and military zeds would be great sources of loot (eg. baton, kevlar, sidearms, ammo?)

No obligations, you should not HAVE to be obligated to log on >.<

Oh! And when scaving zombies is done, there wont be ANY problems with ammo or anything, then we might even be able to limit how much ammo a shop can give out in a day!

Hmm won't that be unfair to new players? eg. I go around stocking up on Bullets
Alts camping is also a problem. May also break the Market (when released) then.

How bout a constant price change each day in stores. eg. $3 today $8 tomorrow besides having to force players to not sell it all they should also conserve it.

I'd say keep 9mm particularly low though, its a newbie staple. Just make it un-sellabe to the player market.

i say the market regulates itself
we will go though periods of imbalance, and devs will adjust drop rates and prices
i say you can only buy ammo long with the gun, 200 bullets

With the recently released update we have introduced new attack types and new combat effects. It's important to stress that this is still the early phase of the planned advanced combat system which will also include a much more graphical interface and loot from killed opponents as well as being able to equip bayonets, scopes and other extensions to your weapons. Here is a short guide to how it works.
